BLOOKET

Blooket is the best FREE online student engagement tool. Blooket is hands down the best NEW student engagement app. Students get to answer teacher created multiple choice questions hosted by their teacher or practice material independently. Its perfect to study ANY subject easily. Most importantly its fun and students can play games SYNCHRONOUSLY together. Battling, racing, challenging, and sabotaging each other using math facts, vocabulary, and more! This is hands down my favorite site. And its FREE. Squeebles Math Bingo

Ice Cream and math…what could be more perfect for 5 to 11 year olds? Great educational math app, helps you learn your times tables, division, addition, and subtraction facts. It boosts fact fluency confidence fast. Students have 3 difficulty levels.  Double and single digit fact problems.  The reward system is fun too. After students complete a full round, they get to make and feed ice cream creations to each of the 24 Squeebles. They get to see what they like best Brussel sprout ice cream with butterscotch sauce!

Pet Bingo

Pet Bingo takes students on a mental math adventure! Students will learn and practice addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division! Pet Bingo is a great educational math app that uses hints to help kids understand different mathematical concepts. The game adapts to each kid’s level. The game provides graphs, pictures, circles, and more to help the students visually see what’s happening if they need it. This math app is challenging. The students complete single, double digit by double digit, and more.  The reward system is cute too. The students get to save and feed their pets that they win. My students absolutely love this app.

Squeebles Math Race

Gamification in the classroom has never been easier. Challenge each student’s unique ability level. Squeebles Maths Race is an exciting 1-player or 2-player game, which makes practicing addition, subtraction, multiplication and division awesome. The students can play together on the same device side by side at the same time. What’s nice is that one student can be practicing addition while the other can be racing against them using division. Its completely customizable. This educational math app practices the basic facts of all four operations. All Squeebles products are absolutely slam dunks, with a great price point, and are lots of fun.

Squeebles Multiplication

Gamify your classroom easily with this math app. Students practice multiplication facts across 7 different fun game modes (Times Tables 1-12; Tricky Tables; Mix It Up; Fill in the Gap; Challenge Mode; Extreme Tables; Word Problems).This math app covers multiplication tables 1 through 12 and 13s, 14s and 15s for enrichment and further challenge. Squeebles Fractions

There are 4 mini games that help students learn fractions. Each game has  three modes, easy, medium, and hard. Identify fractions, match fractions, and practice equivalent fractions.  This app covers fractions up to twelfths. Students are rewarded by making cakes from over 100 ingredients and then get to enter them into a contest! Students collect 10  Squeebles characters with their own character traits. Also you can set up unlimited players it is perfect for gamification in your classroom or gameschooling at home.

Tower Math

Tower Math makes practicing arithmetic exciting! You add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Students  build towers with magic powers that can free numbers.  Students get rewarded with special powers like the Freeze Ray and Magic Rain. This math app does double digit multiplication and division. Tower defense is one of the most popular game modes and bringing it to a math game is very engaging. My students love this face paced mental math game.

Master Swords

Words are your weapons as you battle beasts, zombies, and evil creatures.  Endlessly practice spelling with this ipad app. Reluctant spellers will love this game! Students are given a list of letters and cast attacks based on words they spell. You get fun bonuses, armor, and power ups to help you along the way in this fun RPG spelling ipad game. I love using this as a spelling center. All the students beg to play this. It has tons of replay value and is worth every penny. DON’T BUY the premium version it glitches and its expensive. Just get the regular PAID version.

Target Numberz

This is a perfect activity for Google JAMBOARD. This game practices basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication. Students have to make the target number by adding, multiplying, subtracting, or dividing.

Students keep playing trying to get the same target number in different ways or change out the target number. This is a great game for mental math and computations. This game is meant to be played with two players SYNCHRONOUSLY over Zoom. It can be played with the whole class SYNCHRONOUSLY.

Just open up enough breakout rooms and share link with the entire class. If a student is in breakout room 7 they are on slide 7 Jamboard. Two students share each slide and play together face to face on Zoom or Google Meet. Just make sure they are on the same slide.

DREAMSCAPE READING

Dreamscape Reading is the best reading game out there. It’s FREE. If you want to take gamification in the classroom or home up a notch, then you need this game. You make a Dwell or fort by reading questions and then attack other players Dwells or forts. Students love building their own world and then destroying their peers Dwells. If you played Prodigy Math it’s similar mechanics. Students can’t build or attack unless they answer reading comprehension passages. I linked it below.

JAMBOARD GAMES are a fantastic platform to help make it more manageable. I have created 10 slides of math riddles. These are great virtual math riddles and facts for remote learning. This is a perfect activity for Google JAMBOARD.

MISSION ADDITION

Primary Games Limited or Primary Games Ltd. is simply one of the best ipad math app producers. There are a number of high quality math apps produced by this company.

I own at least 20! They focus on specific math skills. Fractions, geometry, number sense, number bonding, etc. 

Any math unit I teach always has a Primary Games Limited game for the students to practice on. This is defiantly worth your time to look at their extensive list of math games.

MISSION ADDITION is one of the students’ favorite games. You have to add using number bonding. Its challenging and complex. And if you get it wrong you explode!
